About

My name is Elizabeth Stallard, however I often go by Liz. I'm living in Spain (!!) and I'm using this space to update my friends and family. Below, you will find the original "About Me" page to this blog, which is a little window into my story.

My name is Elizabeth Stallard, however I often go by Liz. I am currently a junior at Texas Christian University where I am pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Political Science with minors in Spanish and Communication Studies. Having fallen in love with Spain on my first visit five years ago, I feel incredibly blessed to continue my studies this semester from Barcelona, Spain with one of my best friends.

Things you should know about me: I was born with this little thing called the travel bug which brought me here to Spain. I love to embrace new cultures and push beyond my natural level of comfort. With wanting to constantly see new things comes wanting to try new things. My new years resolution was to teach myself how to sketch and where better to do so than the magical city of Barcelona which stretches from the mountains to the sea.

It occurred to me only recently that blogging while abroad is a cliché thing to do. Beyond writing to provide my friends and family with tales of my trip, I hope that this page is able to give you insight, whether that be about me, the places I visit, or my mission to bring breast cancer awareness to Barcelona and beyond. While I would love to claim "Brave" as my nickname for this trip, "Brave" is not about me. Brave comes from the Frogs for the Cure 2014 campaign to push the Josh Groban "Brave" music video that we produced. "Be Brave" is my mantra and I intend to share it everywhere I go. For more information about Frogs for the Cure and how it inspired me to bring "Brave" abroad, please visit my "Welcome" post on the home page.
